Forty years ago, I was a psychic junkie. I’d found reincarnation as well as the mesmerizing power of psychics. However, out of the blue, I was turned on to numerology. I was young and starting my marriage and career. I really loved locating my next psychic. One day, somebody said numerologist to me. I was a blank. I’d no idea what that meant. But I intended to discover out.
I was working in Dallas. I was told this Numerologist.Com Reviews was in Fort Worth and her name was Marie Norris. Sounded innocent enough. How do I reserve a numerology session with her? It was a little complex. It seems Miss Norris wasn’t a big follower of the modern use of the telephone. She didn’t actually have a secretary or answering machine. At any rate, I found out where she lived and off I went.
Dallas is not as close to Fort Worth as lots of folks tell you. What happens in the early 1970s, it looked a lot further. But gas was 29 cents a gallon so who cared. We did not have the internet then so I’d no fast way to explore what numerology was. I was a small bit acquainted with astrology, but now I know just how tiny.
Her house was not far too hard to find perhaps even for a Dallas woman. I walked as much as the door and also knocked expecting a good older woman to seem to graciously ask me in to an incredible home. She was really older along with a tremendous lover of cats by the amount I first discovered. And maybe even a lover of mice because they dominated as well.
The very first thing I noticed when entering was becoming overwhelmed by the ghastly smell. A nice southern girl, I’d never ever say something about it. But I started to realize I couldn’t breathe very well in its presence. She just asked me to sit down somewhere between the stacks of newspapers and slimy canned cat food. I didn’t understand how long this would take, although I was not sure I would remain very long with the stench.
She asked me my name and also the birthday of mine. I gave it and off she went. She started countless calculations starting at the upper part of the page on the bottom and then returned once again to the very best with the second row. I’m not sure, though she put a minimum of 6 7 rows of calculations after which you can began on the backside of the web page. This went on for most pages.
She was intensely wrapped up in the calculations of her. And then she would just entirely stop and slump down in what I can only describe as a “nap.” Just as I began to get concerned, she would then suddenly sit up and continue. This looked as an eternity. Thus, I discreetly excused myself and went outside to eagerly grab some fresh air.
I’d no idea that she was developing a numerology reading on me and even what that meant. I was simply expecting a deck of cards. But she was motivated to give me the expertise of her. And certainly she did. When she completed and asked me to regrow in, she began telling me things I had not even asked about. With complete authority, she told me which I will receive an eco-friendly automobile. I said, no, no. My vehicle is red and rather new. She said, “The next time you arrive, you are going to have an eco-friendly car.”
Somehow, she informed the interest in me. After she finished informing me just where I would live, who I would be with and also what best things happened to be for me, I started questioning her. It’s been some time, although I can remember she said she studied numerology at Stanford University. I have not idea in case that is true, but I then looked around all of the piles of newspapers and discovered a map out on a dinner table.
I then discovered that she was under contract with a number of different oil companies to inform them where you can drill for oil. Suddenly she became a little less unusual to me. I became addicted to her. The next time I came, I discovered I’d an environmentally friendly vehicle. Every time I came I found a bit more about her, but not around numerology. She wasn’t interested in teaching jaoxth numerology, what a numerology chart is and the way life path numerology is of help. She went about the calculations of her then made her numerological predictions.
She explained she had all the time stayed in Fort Worth. Her father had been an officer in the Army stationed at Ft. Worth. At times she will arrive at the home of her at the same time I did in a stunning Cadillac. She explained that the driver had “rented” her for a gathering. She create an office for the party-goers to drop in and purchase their numerological readings.
I started to realize that Marie Norris was an icon within the Fort Worth community. She advised everybody, from the very very rich on the not rich. She had simply won them over doing what she did much better than anyone else without tooting her own horn.
About 10 years later on after a much way too long abstinence, I was editing a film with my friend George Kline. His production company had made the movie in Dallas. While we were chatting, he reminded me that he was originally from Fort Worth. I became all bubbly and asked if he knew Marie Norris. Just as bubbly, his eyes lighted up and he said, “Of course!” I said, hey we need to go see her.
He agreed and called his assistant to set up a booking. His assistant called again and alerted us that Miss Norris was no longer living. We were devastated. Who’d we visit for numerological readings.
Marie Norris never educated me in numerology, never developed my numerology report or chart. Though she gave me an appreciation of numerology that I continue to have 40 years later on. I have the internet now to learn about numerology, numerology readings and numerological predictions. So, that’s what I’m going to do to honor the dear Miss Norris. It’s time.
